Soprano Jeanette Favaro-Reuter completed her Master‘s Degree in San Francisco and received her doctorate from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Performed as soloist with opera houses in the USA and then joined the Freiburg (Breisgau) Opera and later the solo ensemble of the State Theater in Kassel, Germany. With increasing teaching responsibilities continued Favaro-Reuter her singing as guest with opera houses in Munich, Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Rotterdam among others. 
Jeanette Favaro-Reuter is professor of voice at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy“ in Leipzig and serves as head of the Vocal Department there. In 2005 she was appointed „Visiting Professor“ at the Royal College of Music in London.
