1. Old traditions – new concepts
Traditions are being transformed and used in a number of ways. How has traditional music influenced choral compositions?

2 . Jerusalem - a multifaceted city
The musical deversity of the city will be explored and encounterd. What is the uniqueness of Jerusalem’s vocal traditions: vocal music from the Eastern Christian Churches, folk and classic Arab traditions and music from the different Jewish communities of East and West ?

3. Conservation and Communication
How do we keep the traditions alive and how best should we communicate them to choirs and musicians in schools, in the community? How can research within higher education assist this process?
