Listen to the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5
1st movement: Andante - Allegro con anima

The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra consists of Israel's finest young 90 players (ages 14-18). The orchestra meets for an intensive summer course, conducted by world-leading conductors and musicians, and is administered by the Jerusalem Music Centre together with senior players of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. At the end of each course, the orchestra performs on Israel's finest stages: YMCA in Jerusalem, and occasionally Heichal-Hatarbut in Tel-Aviv.

This recording is from a concert held in Heichal Hatarbut, Tel-Aviv, on August 1st, 2008. Conductor - Hans Peter Ochsenhofer
