From the CD booklet:
Israeli pianist Aviram Reichart won the Bronze medal at the 10th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1997, only months after he had been awarded the top prize in the first Dong-A International Piano Competition in Seoul, Korea. His earlier accomplishments include top prizes at the 1995 International Music Competition of Japan and the 1995 Epinal Competition in France. Aviram Reichart has performed frequently with all the leading orchestras in Israel. He has performed and recorded with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Dessau Symphony Orchestra. Recitals in Europe have included the Ruhr and Epinal Music Festivals, as well as the Herkules-Saal in Munich where he elicited rave reviews including an enthusiastic ovation from Joachim Kaiser in the Suddeutche zeitung newspaper.
His prize-winning participation in competitions in Japan and Korea brought him engagements for recital and concert tours in the Far East, where he has been earning immense applause. As a result of his success at the Van Cliburn Competition, Reichart’s 1997-98 U.S. concert season included festival performances in Cear Valley, CA and Steamboat springs, and many Orchestra engagements and recital engagements. Aviram Reichart currently lives in Tel Aviv where he completed his studies at the Tel Aviv Rubin Academy of Music with Prof. Arie Vardi. He can also be heard on Harmonia Mundi CD featuring highlights of his prize-winning solo performance at the Van-Cliburn Competition.
