Young Musicians
We take special pride in our multi-annual educational programs - a whole cluster of programs intended for primary and high school kids, and typically designed for long-term participation (for instance, throughout one’s high school years).

It started out in 1980 as an enrichment program for an elite group of 30-40 carefully chosen young string players. Over the years, this program revolutionized string quartet playing in Israel, producing, among others, the acclaimed Jerusalem Quartet and the up-and-coming Ariel Quartet.

Although the project has been going from strength to strength, it gradually became clear that attention must be given to the infrastructure of string playing all over the country, in order to secure the same high standards of music making in the future. Also, once the string programs have become well established, we started attending to other instrumental groups as well – pianists, wind instruments etc. The result is the following array of programs, which is constantly re-assessed and developed:
